Docket: FBT-CV26-6156747-S (Bridgeport).

Status: LIVE. Scheduling order filed September 28, 2026; pretrial conferences July 13 and September 28, 2027; trial October 27, 2027.

Parties. Plaintiff SLH Connecticut LLC, owner of 305 Hathaway Drive, Stratford. Defendant J & J Brothers, LLC of Meriden.

What the complaint says. SLH hired J&J in June 2024 under a $210,000 fixed-price contract to do selective demolition inside the existing building as part of a project to build a cannabis manufacturing facility. The demolition plans required J&J to leave certain building systems in place, including electrical components. SLH says J&J demolished or damaged wiring, conduits, feeds and panel connections that were supposed to remain, and sues for breach of contract.

What happened. Filed February 19, 2026. The court granted a series of motions (March, May, August and September 2026) and SLH moved for default for failure to plead in June 2026. The parties filed a joint proposed scheduling order on September 28, 2026.

Status. Live. A short-calendar matter is set for October 26, 2026, pretrial conferences for July 13 and September 28, 2027, and trial for October 27, 2027.
